Born in Cornwall in 1900, I showed an interest in art from an early age, following my grandfather around Europe painting and sketching until I earned a scholarship to the Redruth School of Arts. Over those 4 years, I won many awards, widening my range of media, depth of experience and understanding of art. During the late 60s and early 70s, I delivered boats throughout the Mediterranean which enabled me to attend many workshops primarily in the artistically inspired cities of France and Italy. In the late 70s, I dragged my Cornwall-loving family to Australia to « see what we could see» and immediately fell in love with the animals and beautiful landscapes. While I have always been enamoured of landscapes and nature, the Australian wildlife and environment gave me new enthusiasm to paint in my style of realism. Since then, my family and I have explored Australia extensively, I have been fortunate to win multiple awards on a local as well as State level. These achievements have both humbled and inspired me. I am dedicated to and passionate about my art.
