My project focuses on people who leave their motherland, but always live an uncertain life with many questions to ask. They're always suspended between a current location and a nostalgic past. I put my personas in front of each other. When my large works are displayed next to each other, they give the audience an optical illusion to give them the feeling of uncertainty and dizziness; something an immigrant will always carry on his/her shoulders. When they turn around and look at my portraits, the uncertainty is gone. I used Chinese Ink on Paper for this project. My works are very detailed and using patterns is a very important aspect of my drawings. These patterns portray the repetition. The repetitive habits that we experience daily. Very hard at the beginning and less painful after adaptation.

Borders are defined as areas that ''form their own outer boundaries". Sometimes we travel and cross these borders to explore and to find the excitement carry inside and sometimes we are forced to pass these I say lines, you read borders. As a human being, I've had to experience migration, more than once in my life. The will to take such big decisions, was not often involved by choice, even if it seems like it. As an Artist, displaying the cause is never the focus and concern of my art. What seems to matter and gain my attention the most, is consequences caused by the force, some sort of aftermath that shapes person's every decision, path, and thoughts. When I ask a question, I look at people's backgrounds. Inside every border, there are sets of traditions that form individuals concerns and obsessions. people's interactions with self and others in different places of the world makes me question the source of it, and unconsciously leads my thoughts towards childhood. children and childhood in general is very interesting for me because it is still very pure and haven't been influenced by any tradition. My audience can always find the trace of childhood in my work even if it's not directly apparent. I was influenced by artists such as Françoise Pétrovitch, Marlene Dumas, Yayoi Kusama, and David Hockney. I choose Drawing as my medium. I can experience Drawing at each place and time. Mostly, I use Chinese ink because the combination of drawing and Chinese ink reminds me a lot of childhood. You cannot go back, and this can force the artist to put energy with every touch of a brush. each touch should be gentle and with confidence, and if there's a mistake, you should accept it. Sometimes the mistakes made when drawing with Chinese ink, could be the strength of the artist's work. I also borrow other mediums such as Video, Volume, and Photography and implement my work in them, and as the result, I present them as Drawings.
