Art Description

Drawing: Ballpoint Pen, Ink, Acrylic, Watercolor on Paper.

June is 8-weeks pregnant, unfortunately her sister Isla experiences most of her morning sickness symptoms.

This is a small, whimsical portrait of a pair of conjoined mouse twins in a cream cable knit sweater with a lovely scalloped white collar peeking out at the neckline. The mice are painted in an amber brown, with little shiny black eyes and soft grey ears with just a touch of pale velvet pink near the tips. The piece is finished with a blue-grey background wash reminiscent of old fashioned studio portrait backgrounds.

I love painting these whimiscal portraits of my imaginary friends, coming up with little anecdotes about their lives and then sending them off into the universe. This painting would be very sweet in a childs room, or really any room.

The piece will ship securely packaged in an envelope, sleeved and attached to a backing board.

This artwork was created using neocolor crayons, watercolor paints and acrylic inks over an initial ballpoint pen drawing in black ink. The paper I use is hot press, white, 100% cotton rag, acid free and expected to last an extraordinarily long time.
