Born in 1975 in Ceuta, Spain. His work is tied to the idea of nature and culture as the result of human activity. His paintings and drawings avoid to directly representing nature. It's more about insinuating a form or evoking a space or a landscape and showing a process in which all the decisions that are taken are submitted to the things perceived of the natural world. Work usually starts with thin layers of ink or graphite before more layers of paint are applied to the paper or canvas. Then the painting grows in many stages where it is corrected through different extractions and superimpositions. Many of the paintings don't have a title. This frees the observer and allows him to perform an exercice with his eyes, forces him to look, to form his own vision and build a landscape, which in each case will depend on his own cultural bagage.
