Sandy (Marshall Sanders b. 1951, San Francisco) My fine art practice focuses on holistic art experiences in individual works and art installations. I make unique shaped 2D relief objects that explore reality, abstraction and the environment, manifesting through street culture, urban social issues, transportation metaphors or thru exploration of painting/depiction processes. It follows that I use found objects, cardboard, collage, acrylics, markers, photography, 3D construction, drawing, painting, digital creation and mashups. I do not believe in a style or look, a brand, if you will. Monet, with his Haystacks, started producing art of similar visual appearance, allowing deep exploration of process and subject matter. For me, in the modern contemporary era, this practice has evolved into a mechanical appearing repetitiveness, an industrial production. One sees one painting after another, similar but slightly different. This makes for a lot of art patron choice to pick one they like, among many. From me, patrons will find many series of works as I move experimentally across abstraction, reality, concepts, processes and subject matter, working through ideas as clearly as I can. Then moving on to another intriguing challenge. And another. I have artworks in the following titled series: Train Graffiti Social Activism The Capitalism Sucks Art Show Bicycle Art Wired De-Advertising Street Picture/Picture Post Industrial Magical Forms The Cave
