Alter-Ego Painting

I am an American abstract painter. Every so often I veer into expressionist figuration and portraiture. On my own, I studied the fundamentals of art, the great artists, and all the influential art movements. I am heavily influenced by Abstract Expressionist artists. Inspiration comes to me from painters such as, Joan Mitchell, Lee Krasner, Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, and Willem de Kooning. Non-comformity defines all my influences. My mission is to create engaging and innovative artworks. I also hope to extend an appreciation of artistic expression to a wide audience. The process I employ involves acrylic and mixed media. Paint and found material are combined on canvas, and I love to merge drawing with painting, whenever possible. Many of my original paintings are found in collections across North America, Europe, and Asia.
