Anna Topalova is an artist born in Bulgaria in 1977. She has lived in Berlin , Frankfurt Madrid, and Barcelona before finding her forever home in London. Her travels and foreign cultures have inspired her art, but she finds nothing more inspiring then human relationships, feelings and emotions. Although her artwork is very personal, and it always tells a story, her abstract approach lets the viwers' imagination and interpretation fill in the gaps and find personal meaning for themselves. Anna started her art journey in her childhood and since then is known for her solid and rich colours and the dream-like subject matter of her works. She has worked in oil, acrylic, pen and is now experimenting with watercolours. Anna has participated in a number of exhibitions, and her main goal is to spark imagination and conversation through her works. Anna creates colourful art inspired mostly by human (and personal) feelings, emotions and experiences - happiness, fears, confusion, joy , sadness.. Her style is highly individual and mixes different approaches to painting. She keeps experimenting and adopting new techniques based on the message and emotions she want to convey. Her art, however, remains mostly figurative, abstractly surreal and dreamy. Her little daughter Margaret often inspires her illustrations with the richness of a child's imagination, and Anna believes that you are never too old to dream a new dream. With my contemporary and abstract, very often also naive paintings I am trying to shape the world as I wanted to be and as I see it , bringing the focus on to the colours and blooming appeal of my central subject, trying to paint in details every small object. The rich colors of my paintings lead you into a lush, vibrant habitat that's completely out of this world. Featuring large passion flowers and jade green leaves, this tropical painting makes any room feel like your very own eclectic paradise.
