Daniel Rivero Serradell is an Argentine visual artist, born in 1973 in Villa Giardino, Córdoba, Argentina. From an early age, he developed a deep connection with drawing and visual expression. Self-taught since the age of eight, he later refined his skills under the guidance of masters such as Georg Miciu Nicolaevici, who nurtured his sensitivity to color, and Roger Mantegani, who helped him perfect his pictorial vision. Between 2002 and 2017, Daniel lived in Málaga, Spain, where he worked in the field of design, earning international recognition before fully devoting himself to painting. In Spain, his artistic work was strongly influenced by European urban life, cafés, and social atmospheres. After more than two decades of exploration, he developed his distinctive style, which he calls Carbocolor — a fusion of oil painting and charcoal drawing. This technique creates a unique dialogue between color and form, where pigment bursts through the lines, offering multiple layers of interpretation. While he is not certain if others have previously combined these two techniques, for him Carbocolor represents the culmination of years of artistic research and the definitive expression of his pictorial language. Upon returning to Argentina, Daniel continued his artistic career while also serving as Director of Culture of Villa Giardino between 2019 and 2023. In 2024, he founded Sala Taller, a creative space dedicated to exhibitions and cultural activities in his hometown. His exhibitions include solo and group shows in Barcelona (2015), Soho Málaga (2015), Art & Breakfast II – Málaga (2016), Ourense, Galicia (2016), as well as multiple exhibitions in Argentina, such as the Casa de Pepino Cultural Center in Córdoba and the Museo Manuel Mujica Lainez in La Cumbre.
