About The Artwork
Working as an artist at Tokyo Disney Resort, I lived close by and went for walks on days off, looking for inspiration. Seeing driftwood on the rocks near sunset! Yep, that's what I call some awesome inspiration. I love the colours of the sunsets here. Gorgeous colours from this sunset are everywhere, on the driftwood, water, and bouncing around in amongst the rocks. The beautiful warm silhouette of the majestic Mt.Fuji sitting nice and comfy in the background. Darker colours in the shadows of the rocks. I did my best to mix the darkest tones, without any black. So many questions remain regarding the history and wild story of the driftwood. Where did it come from? Did it come from the mega-quake and tsunami up north from here?
