"Don't be sad, Mina! WE are your family." Kara the owl and Louis the donkey comforted the young goose and promised to cuddle with her from now on when she would be lonely. "I feel so terribly heavy and can hardly move. How am I supposed to call you guys?" I turned off the engine and let the boat glide gently ashore, but by then the owl was flying to the two watchdogs (former ... now they were far too lethargic) and I heard, "Easy!" and "We'll work it out." They put their heads together and not five minutes later Kara came flying back. "Mina, we have an ingenious plan!" she said excitedly. "We'll run a cord from your hutch to Bo & Roy's doghouse and tie a little bell to the end. When you're lonely and sad, you just pull the string and the little bell will ring. We'll then come and cuddle with you until you laugh again." WIR sind deine Familie.“ Kara, die Eule und Louis, der Esel trösteten die junge Gans und versprachen ab sofort mit ihr zu kuscheln, wenn sie einsam sein würde. „Ich fühle mich so schrecklich schwer und kann mich kaum bewegen. Wie soll ich euch denn rufen?“ Ich stellte den Motor ab und lies das Boot sanft an Land gleiten, doch da flog die Eule schon zu den beiden Wachhunden (ehemaligen … jetzt waren sie viel zu träge) und ich hörte: „Easy!“ und „Wir tüftelten das aus.“ Sie steckten die Köpfe zusammen und keine fünf Minuten später kam Kara zurückgeflogen. „Mina, wir haben einen genialen Plan!“, sagte sie begeistert. „Wir legen eine Schnur von deinem Stall zur Hundehütte von Bo & Roy und binden ein Glöckchen ans Ende. Wenn du einsam und traurig bist, ziehst du einfach an der Schnur und das Glöckchen läutet.
