ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This work is of my grandfather looking out over his land while smoking a cigarette. He built a church on that land and was the pastor. I never really knew him, I was just told stories. Enough to make me feel like I knew him well. By not painting his face I hope to allow any viewer to feel like they know the man in the picture.
