London Sky IV Painting

An impressionistic oil painting, that is part of a series of 'Modern Skies'. This moody cloudscape was painted from observing the sky in London and finished in my studio. The atmosphere and light in the sky, is particular to each city in different parts of the world, and this is very 'London'. Clear blue, with clouds sweeping over. I have subtly layered and blended oil paint in soft pastel and grey tones, to create atmosphere and depth, reflecting the ever-changing nature of the English sky. The professionally hand made, solid wood frame is hand painted using Farrow and Ball paint. This artwork is framed and ready to hang. This painting is signed and dated on the back of the artwork (and this is repeated on the rear of the frame). It will be shipped with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. Materials used: Michael Harding oil paint on linen board. Handmade wooden frame painted white (as seen in photographs), included in the price.
