About The Artwork
It is part of a body of work which is in collaboration with my husband Dominik Baer. He is bringing out a new song every month, I am painting a new work in response to each song. Mafia , is one of Dominik’s darker and more rock songs. It is about some of the thoughts that keep plaguing you and infesting your mind. The piece visually represents the melody and vibes of the song. The painting is a mixed media abstract expressionistic painting on stretched canvas. I have used acrylic, pastel, ink, and some spray. I also have incorporating some steam of conscious writing in the back ground of the one on the right visualising words and thoughts.

Olive Green Anna (Anna Baer) lives and works in Heidelberg, Germany. She has exhibited in solo exhibitions at Bryan Oliver Gallery, (Spokane, WA, USA) and Zeitgenießische Gallery, (Heidelberg, Germany). Her numerous exhibitions and residencies include Metropolink Urban Art Festival (Heidelberg, Germany) and Berlin Art Institute (Berlin, Germany). She holds a Masters in Teaching (Arts) and a BA in Fine Arts from Whitworth University (Spokane WA, USA). Anna has held art teaching positions at Heidelberg International School, (Heidelberg, Germany), and North Central High School (Spokane, WA, USA). She is the recipient of the 2009 and 2008 Art Talent Award at Whitworth University (Spokane, WA, USA).
