ABOUT THE ARTWORK
8 x 9 Oil on masonite board. I've always loved nautilus shells, so when I was given this shell as a gift, I had to paint it. When deciding on the supporting elements, I immediately thought of marbles, I often do! Then I remembered the Solar eclipse that was due to happen that day, I think it was March 8th 2016, so I decided to add a small marble eclipse in the painting. The large orange marble represents the sun...I'm sure you can work out what the smaller blue marble represents!
