ABOUT THE ARTWORK

While living in Rue Oberkampf in Paris., I spotted the man riding his bike with his dog trying to keep up along side, reading the lunch menu and it is hopefully good news for the dog that the man is going to stop and have lunch. In this oil on cotton canvas, I captured a snapshot of life's simplicity and companionship. Through a vivid palette and textured strokes, I convey the endearing scene of a man riding his bike with his loyal dog along side, looking for lunch.. The soft impressionistic background contrasts with the finely detailed subjects, embodying life's fleeting moments. This artwork breathes a sense of calmness and joy into any space, inviting viewers to cherish the ordinary yet beautiful moments daily. This painting will be sent ready to hang in a box with a certificate of authenticity.

. My recent paintings and photographs of Parisian, Veinnese and New York everyday life are inspired by the many summers and winters we have lived in the cities. I truly believe thet art is the highest form of hope. Jo Tuck's works are in private collections around the world and regularly participates in shows in New York, Caelum Gallery, and London. , including Christie's Cancer benefit show and the RA Summer shows Her background is film editing until she became a full-time painter and photographer. While she was at college she made two 16mm short films, one on the Australian Aboriginal Women and another on Sheep farming in Wales. After film editing for the BBC and feature films I took up painting and photography full time. My photojournalism is inspired by Henri Cartier-Bresson, Walker Evans, Eugene Atget, and Robert Frank .
