Passing time I. Painting

Robert Pelles has worked as a graphic designer for almost twenty years. During this time he has prepared visual image designs for about fifty companies, banks and hotels. Then in 1996 he suddenly finished this activity and started to paint. "I felt an irresistible urge to project to the canvas freely and without any limitation the characters and thoughts. I have felt stirring in myself." In 2000 he was invited to the United States where his paintings were exhibited in four places. ( Minneapolis, New Canaan, Chicago, Pensacola ) This was followed by several further introductions in the US and in Europe (Finland, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Hungary). While initially he was interested mainly in expressing the existing world in a subjective form his current paintings are more like abstract formulations of moods and feelings expressed often with the main emphasis on colors. From the very beginning he has created his strange and unmistakable harmonies with high intensity and spontaneity, without making any sketches. His works can be found in the homes and offices of the well known figures of contemporary political and economic life, the sports world and the entertainment industry as well, spreading all around the world from New York to London, trough Dubai and Tokyo.
