About The Artwork
I have a large barn and acquired a few ducks that soon turned into 30 within a couple years. They absolutely love a fresh kiddy pool to play in, and, yes, I can tell them apart and they all have names. I incorporated actual puzzle pieces into my work to suggest the activity packed into a small space. People have been donating puzzle pieces to me for the past 21 years. The edges are painted and it’s ready to hang.

I am originally from Pella, Iowa and now live and work in Council Bluffs, Iowa. I have a large studio space at the Hot Shops Art Center in Omaha, Nebraska. I am represented by the Artists’s Cooperative Gallery in Omaha’s downtown Old Market district. I enjoy a variety of mediums and techniques and experiment often. A common theme in my work is color and texture. I periodically incorporate actual puzzle pieces into my work to tickle my viewer’s eye.
