Poppy Pods won an Honorable Mention in the 2021 Art of the Flower Juried Exhibition at the Philadelphia Sketch Club. I tried to emphasize the upright structure of poppy pods and their strange shape. The green is the earth, the blue the sky and the bit of red the hidden danger that awaits inside the pod. This piece is an acrylic monotype with collage elements. mounted on board. Signed on front.
