About The Artwork
Every Spring, a local women’s club sponsors a tour of some of the area’s gardens. They ask painters and musicians to provide ambiance, so on a Saturday and Sunday in May I found myself in the company of these lovely irises. This original watercolor on 100% rag paper measures 11 x 14 inches and can be purchased as is, shipped securely rolled up in a shipping tube. By request, it can be purchased with an off-white 100% archival rag mat, with the overall size measuring 17 ½ x 20 inches, shipped flat in a protective cardboard case. I paint oils and watercolors in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains in Northern California. The images in my paintings come from two worlds: Daylight—the life we experience when we are awake, and Nightlight—the lives we live when we are asleep. What I try to paint cannot be seen, so distinguishing between the two worlds is a matter of only minor importance.
