The mystery of visualizing the body as a landscape and the landscape as a body leads me to think about the unique forms within figures, which at the same time may unfold like vast landscapes. Zooming into a specific gesture, connecting a body part with its surroundings, or reshaping a landscape into the form of a body—these are some of the concepts I have been working on. Reflecting on the current state of human existence is an important aspect of my work, sometimes intertwined with cultural and narrative experiences. I am also drawn to the characteristics of animals, flowers, fruits, fish, insects, and other living organisms, as well as the idea of reassembling landscapes. Creating an unreal space or capturing a dramatic moment are also essential elements of my practice. My works unfold through ambiguous storylines—things appearing and disappearing, intimacy and separation, memory and forgetting, discovery and reflection, closeness and distance, focus and dispersion. It is about recording, speculating, imagining, and creating.
