the maid is my interpretation of the maid in Alfred Hitchcock's 1950's film 'Stage Fright'. It is said that the actress was quite beautiful and had extreme difficulty playing the simpleton maid character along side Marlene Deidtrich's glamorous character. I wanted to capture the simpleton as well as the disgust with the simpleness.

As a Painter, Poet and Photographer I embrace the full spectrum of emotions and express them in my artwork. I bring you my art as an invitation to feel strongly, deeply, and passionately, together. If you see my art and feel something, anything!, powerful, elegant, twisted, then we have been a success. Over the years, I have collected pencils, paints, canvasses and a camera. Lately I have been courageous enough to explore my own fears and portray them in colorful shapes. In my previous career in property management I was absorbed by expressive characters; they have informed my thoughts on barriers, angles, fears and measurement – I now fancy exploring and challenging these barriers, angles, fears and measurements through my art. Extending this exploration over time, my long-term objective is to be the Canadian, female equivalent of Leonardo da Vinci; a versatile, prolific polymath.
