About The Artwork

"Many of us still have these obsolete items. Boomers probably still do. "Remember" is one of my favorite photos. The depth of colors and the fine continual lines remind me of the many sounds that once were the inner thread of our being." - Darlene Maxwell - Limited Edition of Twenty-Five Giclee prints. High quality Satin Luster 11 mil 300g paper with a white border will be used. The price of a 14x11 print is $445.00 and shipping is free. Certificate of Authenticity included. Photographed with a Apple iPhone 8 Plus. Neil Young once said, "Steve Jobs was a pioneer of digital music. But when he went home, he listened to vinyl."

I graduated from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1973 where I studied black and white photography. A few of the photographers that amazed me then and now are Edward and Brett Weston, Imogen Cunningham, Ralph Gibson and Henri Cartier-Bresson. I also enjoy the paintings of Georgia O'Keeffe and Vincent von Gogh. I really didn't like the idea of digital photography. Working in a darkroom was very gratifying. In the mid 90's I was given a Pentax digital 35mm camera by a friend. Some of the photographs that you are viewing here have been taken with this camera. Most of my most recent work have been taken by various iPhones. I have never used Photoshop, Aperture or Lightroom etc. But I do use a few free or inexpensive applications such as Pixler, Camera Bag and Glaze, most of the work is done using a MacBook Pro and the Photos App. I go back and forth between computer and iPhone many times on each photograph. So I've been using a camera for about fifty years. I'll keep wording at it, changing ideas and looking for new ways of doing my art. I hope you enjoy viewing my work. Thank you and be blessed
