Scandinavian November Sky - Limited Edition of 35 Photograph

The winter nights in Scandinavia are endless. Especially from November to February. The sun never raises far above the horizon and when there is a cloudy day it never gets bright at all. This picture was taken in the afternoon, but it felt like it was already in the middle of the night. There is a certain calmness and beauty in this phenomena and of course it is the total opposite from the summer months when it is never dark at all. The image was taken with a Leica and shot as is. The only manipulation done to the picture are basic image adjustments. The photo is best printed on a satin fine art paper like Hahnemuehle to increase the sense of this low light shot containing grain and lots of dark grey areas.
