Title: The Overture (Triptych on metal) READY to HANG Number 1 of an Edition of 5 From the clifftops on the Isle of Skye in the far north of Scotland the world seems set like a stage filled with brilliant shimmering lights. On a day of sharp sunlight splitting the vast clouds I find I am drawn to the edge as if I could just lift my wings and take flight. The triptych consists of three panels each 40 inches wide by 60 inches high. They are created on individual state of the art ChromaLuxe panels of slimline aluminium. Each image has fixings on the back, the panels are lightweight compared to a traditional frame so much easier to hang. When hung with a two inch gap these require a space of 128 inches. I am offering them here with a high gloss finish however matte finish is also possible on request. Signed in the bottom right hand corner and provided with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity. READY to HANG - no need for framing. Created using new Chromoluxe aluminium printing techniques for high quality large art. The colours just sing! Simply stunning vibrant pictures that appear to float off your wall. The image is printed on a slimline metal sheet that has a hanging frame on the back (see images) so that it sits out from the wall by a couple of inches, this gives you a shadow that makes it look as if it is floating. No separate payment for framing, no more breakable glass and expensive heavy frames to carry from house to house, this is scratch resistant durable and will last a lifetime. This is the latest in high definition quality printing and framing and very few places in the world can produce an image this size in this format. The image is processed so that the dye is sublimated right into the aluminium sheets resulting in superb vibrant colours that last a lifetime. I have shown a couple of close ups of how this looks from the side with the silver edge of the aluminium as well as the bracket that is on the back. The panels have smoothed corners. This will sit out from the wall a couple of inches when hanging and create a shadow giving it the illusion of floating off the wall. Your beautiful art will be carefully packaged in a custom made box with plenty of protection for shipping. Shipping tracked and signed for as standard. Takes approximately two weeks to get ready to ship.

As a professional photographer I travel often to the islands of northern Scotland to make my images in places that provoke a profound emotional reaction. The colours, the textures, the wildness of the places and the history are all intertwined in a fascinating, and often bewildering melting pot of sensation that forces me to make art. After moving many times to get to where I should be, I now live on top of a cliff at the northern end of the Isle of Skye. Skye is a large and very beautiful island in the far north of Scotland; a place of inspiration, myth and legend. The beauty of the landscape draws artists and walkers, photographers and lovers of Nature like a magnet, and I am likewise smitten. Skye has a ruggedness and intense green hills that would make anyone pick up a camera or a paintbrush. My work has moved through variations on a theme of movement and colour. Whether the camera moves or I move or the landscape moves it is all the same. Colours, moving blending and soaking into one another create a sense of playfulness, the feeling you get when the wind is in your hair on a bright sunny day. More and more I wonder if there is any end to how one can capture the colours, the lines and the essence of a place. In my studio today, the bright green Hill of the Red Fox is shrouded in a light mist, the wind is howling and the clouds are moving quickly across the hills. It is a scene that makes my heart sing. I hope my work conveys some of the joy I feel when I see these colours, the harmony and the wind singing through it all. It is at least a quest that, hopefully, will last a lifetime.
