Németh Attila-Levente, born in Sovata (Romania) in 1990, finished the M.A. studies at Graphics, at the University of Art and Design from Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The subject of my works is the underworld, exploring the dark side of life, presenting the living of not to bright-fated people in difficult circumstances. The shameful deeds of humanity, the corruption and brutality are published, by grotesque and irony, usually in a pessimistic way. The main sources of inspiration are the received slaps in the face, over the years. This is accomplished mostly with reproduction techniques, engravings, incorporated in installations. The concept of my last project, “Vortex”, is the evolution of my life, the succession of different stages during my life, which are closely related to my artistic creation. The starting points are the esoteric conceptions about chakras. I’m expanding a self-analysis on the seven main chakra points, showing seven stages characteristic of my life, considering the negative features of each one, which are representing physical and mental disorders, for each chakra point. “If you’re afraid of something, you can’t make a big deal”, in each case appears a form of fear, in a certain way, characteristic for the respective chakra point. Basically the project refers to a longer period, a travelling through the Rainbow-bridge for self-knowledge, on physically and psychically plane, where the most significant stages are based on different fears. Despite of the circularity the goal is not to get somewhere, but rather the elimination of barriers, for the purpose of self-treatment, to realize that we are already there. Contest and competitions: 2015 – appearance in the catalog of the 3rd Graphic Art Biennial of Szeklerland (Romania) 2014 – Getting the scholarship of the Erasmus+ program in Wroclaw (Poland) 2012 – Cluj-Napoca (Expo Maraton), Romania, The Award of Banca Transilvania with the "Dante's Inferno" project 2012 – Creative Grant Communitas (with the “Dante’s Inferno” project) 2015, 2012 – Juventus Pro Arte Transylvaniae Project (In the top 13)
