Dana Naumann -- ANNE's Room 28 x 40 x 5" pedestal mixed-media sculpture. . Teenage Anne Frank keeps a diary of her young girl's dreams of romance and love, but lives in the world of her family hidden in the attic of an active shop, where even footsteps heard on the floor below can betray their presence to terrified informers and bring the Gestapo to arrest them. And eventually the family is taken away. Only her father survives the concentration camp, and on his return to the hidden rooms, finds the diary of his beloved daughter who has perished.... Work inspired by Sigmund Strochlitz (1916-2006) Survivor of Auschwitz. Donor and colleague of the founding of the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC. Personal friend of the artist.
