About The Artwork
Aluminum in its capacity as a carrier material and as a storage material, a membrane between underneath and above, a recording of the absent and a reflection of the present. The black and phthalo blue ink polished into the aluminum increases and preserves the tension in this process. The shine of the bare structures and contours is permanently retained by the natural oxidation layer of the pure material. Reflection and shadows change depending on the type of light conditions and the viewing angle. The circular diptych has a diameter of 188 cm, the ultra-light, extremely dimensionally stable construction weighs a total of 8 kg. The fastening system guarantees easy assembly and gives the object a 1.5 cm distance from the wall. The distance between the two halves of the circle can be chosen as desired, they can also be hung offset.
