About The Artwork
This triptych was made during the quarantine, i've been thinking about our isolation, not only physical but mental one. It was like a chance to challenge ourselves, to meet our inner fears and uncertainty and accept it. "Isolation" also inspired by Japanese maxim "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil". While lockdown was on, i witnessed a lot of people who embodied both sides of this principle, some of them were trying to keep their minds clear of worldwide fear and panic but some were just turning a blind eye to every needy person. I don't know what material i would use if i had more choice but only that fireclay was at hand, so i've made this sculpture and i feel satisfied with its appearance in the end

One of the main themes of my work is the recasting of historical and biblical plots, working with "eternal types", that I put in a modern environment. I also pay a lot of attention to the themes of growing up and socialization. In my artworks I show the different sides of what is considered to be beautiful, or vice versa, ugly. I believe that beauty is always in the eye of the beholder, and, I hope, through my work, the viewer will be able to look at many things from a different point of view.
