About The Artwork
This is part of my series - constructed squiggles. The squiggle is found in a bin, photographed and drawn in vectors in Adobe Illustrator. Then laser cut by myself in two pieces, painted, marbled and glued together. Then finished with a nice glossy epoxy resin. The resin is always a struggle to get perfect, which I embrace, but this piece is very perfect for a change. I have worked with so called shaped canvases for a long time, since I like my paintings to be not square. I love that you get glimpses into the wall behind the work through the holes. Note, that it very hard to get the measurement accurate, since it is a changing size.

Danish artist and pattern designer. My paintings are hand shaped, CNC cut or laser cut mdf/plywood in my shared studio. Sometimes I add epoxy for the shine and matte look together. I don't think it is hip to be square, so my wall hangings are always shaped.. That can also be handy, since they can fit in different places, like between two close doors. I always add some A5 cards with my pattern design with purchases.
