molded glass, grinding, polished. ECO-glass - glass from old TV screen. The first thing that grabbed me was this piece's powerful movement; Frolov captures so much energy in such a small space. But it is the time warp that keeps me looking: Next Steps seems to have fallen through the ages, like a l...

Born in 1982. 2017 - Currently a free living artist in Kotor, Montenegro. 2009 - 2018 Owner of blown glass studio “Frolik`s Hot Glass Studio” (St.Petersburg, Russia). Artist, sculptor and glass blower. Try to get away from the words in your mind; it is almost impossible to think without words. We are constantly thinking using words, mostly in our native language. But if you could forget the words for a moment, and could feel the abstract world, falling in a meditative state where there are no words or names for anything. Objects and things cannot there be understood verbally, only something that consists of the lines and colours, unrestricted of the surrounding space. All of it is united and there is no subject or object: there is "all at once" and that's given if at the moment you are seeing with your eyes. But what if you could observe that mute thing only with your ears? You don’t hear it, don’t see and don’t feel it, but it exists as a whole with space and time as absolute/ultimate "abstract". In fact, everything in the world is abstract, and only we give names to a few objects, or store visual and other images, as some souvenirs (visual or verbal) from the world in your mind. And this is my love for this almost insane kind of technique, which comes from the subconscious, its recurrences, its cycles.  Line, point, plane, colour - these are visual souvenirs that are arranged in certain structures. They are so tangible and familiar for me as the named objects and things, a kind of unconscious awareness.
