Was born in Riga, Latvia in the late middle of the previous century. Started painting when I understood that I had no other way to talk with people around. Artworks are performed mostly with acrylic on canvas, or plastic panel, or other. Maybe some ten years ago I realised that photography isn't the worst way to talk with folks either, and it's a good helping tool in fine art painting, as well as large format printing. * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
I believe all this now has become as another - contemporary - kind of pencil or brush. Now, mixing it altogether is my basic way and language in art to talk with you.* * * * * * * *
If someone doesn't understand - sorry about that.

But it surely doesn’t mean that I’m not using traditional methods in my works, too (‘Waterville-Somewhere Over’, ‘Early Silence’ and others which you can check out on my website: daknisart at gmail dot com).

Usually technique is synthesis from several methods, including computer graphics, traditional painting with acrylic color, photography, large format printouts etc., so it could be called multimedial.
