Creating is to be radically opened for the untidy, the random, the unpredictable, the indeterminate. Order the disorder. Organize Chaos. The creative impulse is nothing but an effort to introduce some order within the chaos. Order and chaos are antinomies that govern our lives. In art, as in life, we range perpetually between the need for order and harmony on one hand, and the will of chaos and rupture on the other. Will as aperture to the abyss, as vertigo of returning to the primeval chaos. We live in a chaotic and fragmented world, but we must place unity and coherence in it. Perceive it as one, as an organic whole. To do this we would have to invent a new way of living and understanding life. Which also supposes a new way of producing and perceiving art.
