I was raised in Cape Town as one of 5 children. When I was in primary school, I came second in an International Art competition which always made me wonder if I should pursue art. In +- 2012 I joined an art class, and the art teacher encouraged me to pursue it. Passions include nature, horses, being outdoors, hiking, surfing (still learning), painting as well as painting en plein air. I love exploring and travelling.
I am an Artist.
I have no formal training in Art. I have a MA in Social Work.
In +- 2012 - 2013 I attended art classes. I did not continue with it because work enjoyed priority. I resumed art classes end of 2017, beginning 2018 and it was January 2018 when I felt that I started painting for the 'first' time. For example, I was not afraid to explore, and tried new mediums/tools (working with acrylic paint and the pallet knife etc).
