Yolanta's art is an ongoing process of telling stories of colour and texture, each painting being a separate story. She does it by layering the paint, building the atmosphere, the depth and the feeling of space. When asked to describe in 3 words what is the most important thing in her work she said: Transformation Through Creation.
Yolanta sees her work as a spiritual process, involving various means of expression.
She said "I continue working on what I call the 'Flowing series'. These paintings begun about 10 years ago and over the years the series have gone through metamorphosis.
The basic idea is to try expressing the flickering quality of colour - colour seen as a dynamic, not static, quality. It makes me think of the energy of vibrations flowing through every living thing."
Yolanta was born in Poland where she studied in the Academy of Art and Design in Lodz.
Since 1990 she has been living and working in the UK: in London and in Folkestone.
Yolanta is a member of South London Women Artists group and the Association of Polish Artists in UK (APA).
Studied Art and Design in ASP Łódź, Poland. MA in graphic design and painting.
