Ana Aurora Alvarez Castellar

I am Spanish and was born in Granada, South Spain in 1964.My infancy was spent in Honduras, Central America. As a child I had a spiritual contact with the forest, which has stayed with me throughout my time in Europe.My pictures are based on the world of my dreams, the unconscious, and consequentialness that sometimes doesnt make sense.

I was born in Granada, a beautiful city of south Spain. As a small child we moved to Honduras (Central America), where my happy and full infancy was spent with my family, we remained there for 9 years. I believe it was there, where my endowments and artistic interests were awoken. I loved to play on the edge and inside the tropical rain forest, where I explored the beautiful wild life, birds and insects. At the age of 9 years, we returned to Spain to live. I do not have any qualifications in art, but do so in Primary school teaching and as a Hospital laboratory technician, where I worked for a short time. My interest in painting has been useful in many areas, such as aiding my sister as an illustration assistant. My painting has been constant, with my immense energy and self drive helping my awareness of the world. I completed a course of Layout applied Graphic Design 2001-2002 and after wards, I worked Illustration Assistant, 2003-2004.I am also capable and fluent with many programs on computers, such as Photoshop, Microsoft word. I decided to come to live to England, as I am greatly interested in the British culture and way of life within a European context.
