Jacqueline A Gaylard

Born in England in 1972 and has had a passion for drawing and painting from an early age.I am a professional artist working mainly in Acrylic from my home studio in Devon. I paint a wide variety of subjects from portraits to buildings, but animals are undoubtedly one of my favourite painting subjects, whether wild or domestic. Being a member of the Society of Feline Artists (S.O.F.A) provides me with the opportunity to explore the joys of painting the complex feline form. When painting wildlife, from Britain or exotic species, I take great care in research, studying behaviour and distinctive character. I strive to portray the animal in a natural habitat - capturing a typical moment and location. Fellow member of The Wildlife Art Society International (TWASI).

Completed BTEC HND in Graphic Design in 1994. Became a professional artist in 1996. Exhibits in the Society of Feline Artists (S.O.F.A) annual exhibition. I have exhibited with the Society of Wildlife Artists (SWLA) and Royal Society of Portrait Painters at the Mall Galleries, London. Have also exhibited my work at: York Fine Arts in York, Clifton Gallery in Bristol,The Peter Hedley Gallery in Warham, Dorset, The Alexander Gallery in Bristol, The Mayfield Gallery in Bournemouth, Triton Galleries in Exeter & Torquay, Devon, Haddon Galleries in Torquay. My original paintings have been reproduced as Limited Edition prints and are in private collections worldwide.
