Lisa Quinn's work explores the intersection of natural material and contemporary design, using wood and acrylic as mediums. Each piece begins with a reverence for the organic qualities of wood- its grain and imperfections and evolves through a process that balances precision with intuition. She incorporates acrylic to introduce contrast and luminosity, drawing inspiration from the colors found in nature: deep forest greens, earthy browns, the shifting blue and green tones of the ocean, and the blackness or grayness of the night sky. Her goal is to create work that feels rooted yet modern- it is a conversation between natural material and artistic interpretation.
