Pélikan is a contemporary artist whose work explores the hidden layers of urban reality through the art of tearing.
“Inspired by the visual landscapes of the city, he manipulates and tears advertising posters to reveal unexpected compositions and underlying narratives. Each work becomes a visual excavation, where layers of paper reveal fragmented stories and hidden messages, creating a dialogue between past and present, the visible and the invisible.”
The artist’s approach is not limited to destruction but rather to recontextualization. By cutting up and reassembling posters, he brings fragments of mass culture back to life while questioning consumption, ephemerality, and the visual imprint of urban iconography.
His work is a reflection on how we interact with the images that saturate our environment, pushing us to see beyond the surface to discover a more imprecise and poetic richness.
Master's degree in space technologies.
