Rawand Saeed

Rawand is a documentary photographer based in Montreal, Quebec, originally from the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. From 2015 to 2018, he worked as a multimedia journalist, contributing to leading international media outlets such as VICE News and Time Magazine, capturing stories from regions marked by conflict, resilience, and transformation.

Lately, his creative focus has shifted toward street photography, where he finds inspiration in the quiet, raw moments of everyday urban life. Through his lens, Rawand explores the dynamic relationship between people and their environments seeking to reveal the unfiltered realism of daily existence in public spaces. His work is rooted in observation and empathy, capturing fleeting interactions and the subtle poetry of life on the street.
