Art has always been a continuing preoccupation, but one among many. In the mid 1980s I was a founding member of an artist cooperative that continues to exist in Washington, DC and have exhibited in juried and cooperative shows in the DC area.
Drawing, particularly the figure, has been my major practice, extending to oil painting only in this century. An avid bicyclist, my paintings are also of the Virginia countryside, where I have pedaled many miles. Sometimes the figure and the landscape meet in imagined compositions.
