My photographs seek to capture and inspire a sense of awe in the power and wonder of beauty!
Brian James Spies has a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art (Photo Concentration) from Lycoming College (2002, Cum Laude) a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate from The Maryland Institute College of Art (2010) and a Masters of Fine Art from The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (2012) where he was awarded the prestigious Faculty Award. He works primarily in photography, specializing in large format portraiture. His work has been featured in numerous exhibitions around the United States, including recently at The Power Plant Gallery at Duke University and Eastern State Penitentiary In Philadelphia. He has curated multiple exhibitions in Philadelphia and North Central PA and he is currently the director The Factory Works Photo Lab in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
