About the Artist

"I’ve been thinking about how much of ourselves finds its way into our work without us consciously putting it there. I’ve always been sensitive to the suffering and harshness of humanity and the world, and maybe that’s part of why I’m drawn to creating something that holds both darkness and light, sometimes with a sense of melancholy. A fortress of solitude or a private form of escapism. Delicacy against intensity. Fragility and chaos Maybe painting has always been my way of creating a peaceful imaginary world out of everything I absorb."
------

I am a Chinese Indonesian artist based in North Carolina.
My background has always been rooted in the creative fields, with experience in fashion and graphic design, though painting has long been my deepest creative calling. Today, I work from my home studio in North Carolina, dividing my time between painting and family life.

I create immersive, imagined environments where nature, memory, movement, and material transformation meet. Guided by an instinctive sensitivity to the elusive rythms of the natural world, my paintings weave together fluid ethereal brushwork, organic movements, tactile layering, emotional use of color and contemporary abstraction to evoke otherworldly atmosphere, somewhere between imagination and reality.

Organic and botanical structures emerge alongside mineral and watery movement, while fine maplike, cellular, and skeletal lines suggest systems of growth, connection, and deeper perception.

I am drawn to balancing spontaneity with delicacy as each surface develops. Rather than depicting conventional landscapes or floral arrangements, I create atmospheric spaces that feel discovered, remembered or imagined.

I paint not to illustrate, but to express what exists beneath language. Each gesture is honest and unfiltered, shaped by memory, sensation, and a deep connection to the unseen inner world.

For me, the hand remembers what the mind forgets and abstraction is the ultimate gateway to a deeply personal visual language. Each work is layered with hidden memories and echoes of heritage, nostalgic melancholy, and nature’s inherent balance and harmony. These elements are not always overt, but they are embedded in the gestures and choices I make. Every intentional mark I lay on the canvas, every stroke, pressure, tension, or burst of color, is a form of coded expression, whether through paint, brush, or unconventional tools.
