I am a Bolivian artist from the city of Santa Cruz, a city that emerged on the border of the Amazon and has influenced my worldview in my artistic work, particularly the vibrant colors of my culture, the animals, and the flora, which have now been deconstructed and presented through a vision of the unconscious.
My art is born from intuitive and spontaneous observation. I work with stains created in a completely random way, which become visual triggers for my imagination. Through pareidolia—a psychological phenomenon in which the mind perceives meaningful forms within ambiguous or abstract stimuli—I discover animals, faces, and objects emerging from the silhouettes on the canvas, as if they were a radiograph of my subconscious at the very moment of creation.
I have learned to stimulate this subconscious through music, readings, or images that I engage with before painting, subtly persuading it to open new doors of vision. Yet the outcome always remains unpredictable: a figurative and at the same time surreal composition.
In this process, my inner child also takes part, allowing me to preserve a free and naïve gaze that translates into characters with a deliberately cartoonish and innocent aesthetic.
Much like a Rorschach test, my works invite the viewer to create their own interpretation, to project their emotions, memories, and fears into the stains. It becomes a play of mirrors where each spectator encounters a different version of themselves—like watching clouds in the sky and recognizing their own dreams within them.
