In this work, I capture the qualities of turbulent flow using a monotype with ink and alcohol on paper (with a technique I recently discovered) and then refine it with ballpoint pen drawing. The result is a calm yet energized representation of unique aspects of nature. *when framed, it has to be pro...

My artistic practice is primarily related to the search for forms within the turbulent condition of matter, particularly in the details of rocky surfaces, which I have been meticulously observing and photographing over the past years in both the Attic landscape and on islands. Within these images, the movement of the gaze reveals various figures, scenes, and landscapes. The gaze sculpts worlds in a process that could be described as "image sculpting." Although my initial focus was on figures, my recent emphasis on landscape representation is evident. The landscapes that emerge from the rocks carry an alien sense of locality, suggesting that these formations may contain the codes for the announcement of distant and inaccessible worlds. If the process of decoding the rocks in my work is primarily expressed through the method of photographic collage, in my painting, I attempt to convey these turbulent qualities of nature through a different approach—one that is more instinctive and spontaneous, less cerebral. This is achieved through automatic drawing and asemic writing. The common denominator in both directions of my work is, in any case, the turbulent condition of matter as revealed in nature. This very subject has been the focus of a decade-long research project, particularly in relation to the philosophy of Gilles Deleuze and the theory of turbulent flow (turbulence), a significant aspect of Chaos Theory.
