Mazarache Oana

Oana Mazarache is a visual artist based in Iași, Romania. She holds both a B.F.A. and an M.F.A. from the “George Enescu” National University of Arts. Over the past decade, her work has been exhibited in solo and group shows across Romania and internationally, earning recognition such as The Graphics Prize at the “Nicolae Tonitza” International Art Biennale and the Golden Palette Award for Painting in Bitola, Macedonia.
Mazarache’s artistic practice moves between the exploration of human emotion and the chromatic body, and more recently, landscapes and figures with a graphic clarity. She works primarily with painting, often layering transparent surfaces and bold contrasts to create compositions that feel both intimate and symbolic. Her pieces invite viewers to reflect on presence, solitude, and the subtle ways in which color shapes perception.
Her work is held in both private and public collections, and each series she develops grows from careful research and an openness to new narratives. Whether depicting the vibrational resonance of emotions, or the quiet tension of a figure framed by nature, her paintings offer a sensitive balance between structure and intuition.
