Gravure Allure

Imagine yourself as a young kid, you are at grandparents' house, or in a library, and by chance you find a very old book, like centuries old, so you open it and immediately gets fascinated by the pictures: they are gravures, in lithogravure, metallic engraving or woodcutting style, straight black and white or with fading colors because the paper is very aged, and even if you don't understand what the texts says, it doesn't matter because your imagination gives you the story behind those pictures, then you are swallowed into a journey of wonder and discovery, creating a dear memory from childhood. That's the feeling I'm trying to recreate with this collection.
Witnessing the fast ascension of artificial intelligence, specially in the arts field, I started to play and experiment with different tools, and enjoyed so much some results that I decided to share them here. Some major influences are gravures, drawings and paintings by past centuries artists like Doré, Kittelsen, Dürer, Blake, Rackham, Escher, Friedrich, among others. I like to explore simple and universal themes mostly around nature and landscapes, with some darker touches, and also some medieval, fantasy and gothic themes, keeping a lithogravure / woodcutting / metallic en...
