Giovanna Zurla

I started to draw when I was a child. I understood it was a way to create a magic world, it gave me the power of a God. AAAAAH. I got appreciations at a tender age (f.e. a letter of congratulations by the famous italian stylist Enrico Coveri). Sure I continued not for vanity, but because it was inevitable, just like to use eyes or hands. I was not interested in landscapes, but in human being and faces. I am a perfectionist, headstrong, I can't accept to see my freedom limited by something which is not my will, I want to be completely free. I love Heavy Metal. I get a great satisfaction doing my best for the triumph of Good in every situation. I don't like my little town,it is too narrow, I prefer international metropolis. I get inspiration from the '80, famous rockstars, music, comics, advertising and TV. My favourite painters are Magritte, Caravaggio, Dalì, but I think above all I love the italian Renaissance.
