I focus on landscapes, animals and plants as subjects, to express the deep inspiration and interconnectedness I feel from the natural world. Rather than simply viewing nature from an aesthetic perspective, I hope to connect my viewers with the intrinsic value and sentience in nature as well as the beautifully interconnected part we play in the web of life. Though our technology and culture can sometimes make us feel alienated from it, we are inextricably linked with the wild.
My oil paintings employ the use of texture, layering, glazes and bold line to create nature-inspired works that dip into abstraction.
My studio is located on my 50 acre regenerative farm and forest, Bard Owl Farm. I live here with my husband and two rescue dogs, Luna and Stella.
