Mara N Machado

My work as a painter, jewelry designer, and writer is a visual journey through memory, resilience, and history. Born in Lages and based in Florianópolis, I lived in Spain and embarked on an extensive cultural journey across 9 European countries, where I visited numerous museums and closely studied the local masters. Deeply fascinated by the works of Salvador Dalí and Pablo Picasso, I transitioned from my initial surrealist and impressionist influences into abstract art, a style where I now freely explore colors and textures.Painting has become the core of my career, achieving international recognition in jewelry design as well, by winning first place at an award in London with my piece "Hummingbirds." My creative process bridges tradition and technology: I develop digital sketches but focus my primary production on physical canvases. Beyond the visual arts, I extend my expression into literature as the author of the books "Os últimos passos" and "Os gatos Samel e o seu amigo Puhyel" (published by Editora Insular and available on Amazon). This rich multicultural background defines a mature, sophisticated, and award-winning artistic signature
