Patricia Achenbach-Veira (1968) is a visual artist in the disciplines of painting
and graphic art.
In her work Patricia is inspired by series and by the
differences and similarities between all kinds of subjects.
Bring to mind the self-evident things in life like the
alphabet, numbers or for example the four seasons.
Her artwork is in a figurative stile and consists of drawings, collages and paintings on canvas and paper.
Working in series is a recurring theme in the artwork of Patricia
Achenbach. Nature is a permanent source of inspiration.
The work of Patricia Achenbach contains references to the beauty and love of everyday life.
Patricia gets her inspiration not only from series and from nature, but also from various meetings and conversations with different people.
Patricia starts with one idea, on which makes a number of variants.
That idea can be a word or a sentence or image that she sees or hear in her surroundings. A word, a detail can be enough to create an entire world.
Patricia tries to make that world visible and tangible.

In 1993 she graduated from the AKI school for Art & Design Enschede ArtEZ and she runs a professional practice as a painter ever since.
She has also been working as a Visual Arts teacher since 2001
